This lotion belongs to a class of dermatological medication called ‘antifungal’ primarily used to prevent fungal infections of the skin.
This lotion is a combination of two antifungal drugs Ketoconazole and Zinc Pyrithione. Ketoconazole is an antifungal that acts by killing the fungus. Zinc Pyrithione, is an antifungal & antibacterial drug that stops their growth. It is prescribed to prevent and treat dandruff & seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp (a fungal infection of the scalp).
