Rosuvastatin Tablet comes with the branding “Rochol 20”. It is in the group of medicines known as statins that work by lowering the level of bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein – LDL) and glycerides, to reduce the chance of future heart attacks or stroke. Hyperlipidemia, or dyslipidemia, refers to an abnormal quantity of the high-dangerous type of cholesterol in the blood. High cholesterol in the blood tends to cause fatty deposition in the arteries and ultimately leads to the occurrence of diseases such as stroke and heart attack.
Rosuvastatin Tablet is used to block specific enzymes in the liver which reduces cholesterol being made in the body. It enhances the rate at which the liver absorbs and degrades cholesterol in the bloodstream. Therefore, it reduces the cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, if dietary modifications such as following a low-fat diet have not been effective. It helps decide the amount of ‘bad cholesterol’ and ‘good cholesterol’ by inhibiting the formation of ‘bad cholesterol’ in our body. It also enhances the clearance from your blood because your body is capable of understanding it.
